OEM codes

Find the correct HP 219 OEM code

Eight codes, one pattern: use colour and A/X capacity to identify the cartridge you need.

Content updated:

HP identifies each HP 219 cartridge by an OEM code. The digit after W219 gives the colour — 0 black, 1 cyan, 2 yellow, 3 magenta — and the final letter gives the capacity: A for standard yield, X for high yield.

Regional numbering

HP sells the same printer hardware in different regions with different supply numbers. HP's regional cartridge documentation gives HP 219 as the numbering used in the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe, so a cartridge from another region's numbering may not be recognised.
